Just discovered this site and can't wait to become a chicken mama and glean information from this site. I want to learn both sides of raising backyard chickens-your successes and mistakes. I have wanted to raise chickens ever since my son's family had them (they raised silkies). I fondly referred to them as my grandclucks!!!! However since the pandemic, I have even more of a desire to raise a small backyard flock. I live in Orange County, California.
