I love watching them scratch in the compost, help weed the garden, and turn over the leaves in the woods. They're charming companions. Also, eggs.

Birding, reading, volunteering.

I have small kids plus the chickens, two cats, and a dog in a slightly unwelcoming suburb (that, fortunately, is a right-to-farm community).
