Hi everyone! 
I'm Liz from Melbourne, Australia, and have just started keeping hens for the first time as an adult. I grew up with a big suburban flock of hens, ducks, guinea pigs, cats and rabbits - all my friends used to ask me if I lived on a farm, despite knowing full well that I lived up the hill from my suburban school 
I'm a primary teacher, and have worked at several schools that have hens as part of their learning program. I love that this is becoming more common now. When my school was closed last year in a lockdown, my partner and I took care of the chickens at our place, and we are really excited about having hens of our own now.
Our hens are Hermione Grain-ger, Bellachix Black and Fleur and Gabrielle Delacomb. (As you can tell, we are big Harry Potter nerds) We are looking forward to meeting other hen lovers and learning as much as possible about chicken care!
