1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I raised a small flock of about 8 chickens for a few years, but due to work travel and responsibilities, rehomed the girls. I have missed them and decided that since my travel and work responsibilities have lessened, that I want yo try again.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 20 orpington chicks coming the first part of March and am so excited!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I will have orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching, listening to, and holding them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
reading, cross stich, bowling
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
we currently hqve 3 dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
A friend with chickens is a member and shared an article with me. I read it, checked out BYC, and liked what I saw.
