I'm Becky, totally new to chickens. Started out intending to order 2 buff orpingtons, wound up with 7 chickens...oops. I have 2 buff orpingtons, 3 splash silkies and 2 stowaways. They were supposed to be lavender orpingtons but I just discovered they are instead lavender ameraucanas. Any chance anyone can help me determine whether the stowaways are pullets? I originally ordered pullets but consider and I got the wrong chickens, I'm a little nervous that they might not be pullets

I always have a hard time determining gender, before 10 to 12 weeks, for pea combed chickens.

They are almost 8 weeks old

No problem! If they were cockerels they would most likely have red combs by now.

That was my hope! It seems like they barely have any comb development at all
