I’ve had chickens off and on since 2011.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now I have 5 hens, 1 rooster and 9 chicks. More chicks ordered.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Black australorp, blue australorp, leghorn, California white.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I’ve not hatched my own eggs yet, only grown up day old chicks. I enjoy watching chicks grow and having fresh eggs everyday.

I’m a stay at home mom of 3 kids who are in school, soccer, basketball & 4-H. We’ve had horses and may again this year. We have a dog, 3 cats and chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google. I’d like to learn more about hatching my own chicks.
