In the Brooder
(1) I am not new to chickens. I grew up on a farm and am raising my children with the same awesome experience!
(2) Our flock is 36 strong right now.
(3) We have a mix of about 12 different chicken breeds, with 2 different types of Guineafowl, and whatever the middle school hatched that needed a home!
(4) Eggs are great, but I love the personalities of the chickens, and seeing my 2 young daughters take pride in caring for them.
(5) Gardening, baking, art, boating, fishing
(6) We also have 2 sheep, 7 goats, 2 mini horses, 2 dogs and 2 fish. I'm a high school teacher.
(7) I found BYC on Google. have read BYC on and off over the years for chicken related questions. I joined to post my own question regarding egg breakage.
