Hello fellow chicken lovers
As I have my coffee and wait for the full sunrise, my Buff Orphington rooster is informing the world the sun is coming up and time to wake up. I have a small flock, all Buff Orphingtons. I have ten total, two roosters and eight hens. This is my second time
having chickens. We live in Texas. The last couple weeks with the temps soaring to 115° it has been about survival. The live in a converted shed with a 30x10 run attached. I also have a Border Collie and a Miniature Australian Shepherd. They are all learning to live together. The flock is just about 20 weeks and I’m starting to wait for my first eggs. I chose this breed because they are easy to handle and very friendly. Happy to be here among fellow chicken lovers.
