I am new to chickens, a friend of mine gave me 6 buff orpington hens about a year ago, which were my very first chickens and I loved them, then we thought a coyote killed them all except one, we still have her (Sophia) and it turns out it was my neighbors dog who got my chickens, that’s a whole new story.

I have 23 chickens and 5 ducks
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff orpingtons, those island reds, California tans, a dark Brahma
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Everything!
The drama, the curiosity, the company.
