(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new to chickens and my chicks are 6 weeks old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 12 chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have? I have light brahmas, buckeyes, white leghorns, and speckled sussex.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? So far I have loved learning their personalities and getting their little home set up.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Kayaking and hiking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have three kids and two dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I learned about BYC on FB and have been using it for information on best practices enough that I decided to join the cool kids club.
