Hi! I just got my first chickens ever last Friday! They are 12 silkie chicks. They are just adorable! I've found this site to be helpful already.

Thanks for making me feel welcomed. I'm a bit nervous about taking on this new responsibility, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can so that I'm prepared. These chicks are intended to be "pets" for our family, mostly my 10 year old daughter. Their care (food, water, cleaning) is her responsibility. I just hope I don't end up with too many roos to rehome!! My daughter will be so sad when that time comes. She loves them all so much and has named most of them already!

well, when it comes to cleaning out the coop time, then yeah, they are some work
