I mostly stick to horse forums, but we've recently gotten back into chickens and I've been reading a ton here, and getting fantastic information! We had a pet chicken a couple years ago (Lord/Lady Chickenpuff- long story behind that name!) and after she passed away I couldn't bring myself to get another chicken... But recently my daughter and I decided to start over. We bought a couple chicks from Tractor Supply, and I've ordered some Silkies too. We're really excited! My daughter is four, and she is really into animals, so we're going to do the chicken thing together and hopefully if she continues to enjoy chickens, I can get her into 4H when she is old enough.
We currently have a pony, two dogs, two cats, and six chicks... Plus of course the two kids, Sierra (4) and Jaymes (7).
Anyway, that's my intro! I'm so glad I found this forum, there is an insane wealth of information!
