I am a native Southern Californian. I've always been accompanied by animals and nearly always by children. I teach and hopefully will always learn a little something along the way. Our animal count right now goes like this; 4 horses(renters), 2 dogs, 3 cats, 14 chickens, 2 fishtanks, (15 chicks on order.) I share eggs with family and friends and some eggs are sold to pay for the feed. I have a vegatable garden and am beginning to compost the horse manure. I have spent 59 years in this life and my family includes my partner Rex and our parents, four brothers and a sister, three daughters and one son, three grandsons and one grandaughter, lots of nephews and nieces. At the moments only one daughter and one grandson live with us but we have had a revolving door installed in the house, lol. We spend lots of time with family and love to ride our bicycles or motorcycle. Rex has a Tool and Cutter Grinding business and I teach Kindergarten at a local public system. I look forward to blogging with you and learning more about caring for chickens.
