My name is Jamie, and I live in Rhode Island, home of the RI Red!
the east coast of the United States.
I have been raising animals of some type my whole life. From birds to reptiles(hence the name), and all kinds of rodents. This will be my first foray into poultry, and only plan to keep 3 hens the most
. I live in the city, so size, and neighbor toleration is small.
I have a low dog kennel (6x6x4) that I plan on building an elevated coop over so I can get maximum space on the ground, and the chickens have a safe, warm place at night (winters here average 20 degrees Fahrenheit or less in winter)
I hope to learn much on these forums, and maybe get an idea or two.
