Small town in New Mexico
Well I am new to New Mexico about 4 years. We got about 25 red stars when we first got her because it seemed like the thing to do, we started selling eggs to the neighbors. We enjoyed the chickens but seemed a little crazy to some people for enjoying them to much, so tried to keep it on the down low. Then one day I met a truly crazy chicken lady! She has been so much fun and have enjoyed talking chickens with her. She has gotten us excited about our chickens again. We lost all but 3 of our girls to coyotes. My friend just gave me 2 black silkie/ bantam that are super sweet. I just bought 2 polish babies that are super cute. We are also waiting on our shipment of Rhode Island Reds, Golden Laced Polish, and Pearl Grey Guineas.
We also have 2 big dogs, 7 cats, a parrot, and a turkey! Im excited to meet other chicken enthusiast and learn as much as I can. I would like to learn how to make my own incubator. Has anyone had any success with that?

Was it very hard to do? Has it had a good success rate? Really want to give it a try.... affraid of railings, I think the kids would get a real kick to see them hatches, rather than just comming in the mail.
Thank you so Much, nice to meet you!
