hello! i just joined the site! lets see, a little info, i'm Amanda, 24, located in Panama City FL. i work at an assisted living facility, do a little horse training on the side. as for fun- i barrel race my paint horse. i'm doing some research about chicken basics and breeds- hopefully going to have a small flock in a few months when we move a little farther out of town ((so we can keep my horse with us)). i'll be a first time chicken owner so i'll need a little help from yall. i've always wanted chickens and never had the place to keep them. i think (from my research and their looks) i've narrowed it down to the barred rocks or the dominiques. i love the black and white barred coloring. the chickens will be more of pets than anything, the eggs will just be a bonus. also hoping i can build one of those fancy little coops, with some spare time and a little help from the boyfriend!
