Hi,

I'm Joanne and I am currently incubating 13 texas a&m quail eggs.

This is my first time ever incubating and hatching eggs and I am super excited!

Currently I am on day 6 and will be candling the little blighters tomorrow.

I bought the eggs from a poultry farm and the man there said that he has an 85% hatch rate, so I am hoping for around 5 chicks with my attempt.

I'm hoping to keep the quail indoor, although there is a space for them outdoor - we just have a problem with pests around here and I don't want to attract any!

I will look forward to conversing with you all about quail very soon :)

Yeah I've been looking over the quail forum. Been reading on how to process them. Very interesting because I do want to have them for meat as well as eggs, but was wondering how to do it. Now I know!!
