Thanks everyone! That is indeed the guardian of the flock- my min pin wearing a sweeter! I am going to get some meal worms today for a light treat, along with some fine grit and work on slowly buying the love of these babes!

Get your camera out….if you have never seen baby chick food runs, they are so cute. Hold the dried worms in your hand..drop a few around and the fun begins. Let us know how it goes.

Good luck with your chicks! I hope your Wyandottes tame down. In my experience, Wyandottes (at least my bantams) are generally very flighty as chicks, but they turn into gentle, docile creatures as they mature.

The verdict is in! They LOVE the meal worms- There are several of the Wyandottes that will now come up and roost on my arm after I've given a few treats (and make sure to move slowly). I was also extremely entertained when they went to town pecking at and examining a silver charm bracelet I was wearing. They're so goofy! I am surprised by how much I am enjoying them, it's pretty neat how they each have their own individual personalities.

I feel like I am having a little trouble regulating the temperature, last night they seemed anxious and busy bodied so I adjusted the heat, they warmed up and snuggled down to bed. Today, when the sun changed and warmed the room they were in, a couple of them were panting a little so I adjusted again. Whatever it takes to keep them happy! Thanks for all the great feedback everyone!
