I am brand new to owning chickens
1f60d.png
I have 9 chicks almost 6 weeks old. I have a brand new shed coming from lowes this week which will be there new coop. They will also have a large run us be able to free range. I am wanting to know should I have the main doors of the shed opening into the run or just the pop out door?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

I have found it is much nicer to have large doors open to the run instead of just a pop door. This way you can walk in and out of the coop to the run, you can work the doors to keep out the weather and chickens are always hassling each other in the pop door. They don't need a pop door or a ramp. But it is your choice. I have had both and definitely prefer the barn style opening door to the run.

Enjoy this new journey you are on! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask around the forums. Welcome to our flock!
