Hi, my name is Amy. I live in North Texas. I was raised in Southern Oklahoma. My husband and I have one little girl and 14 chickens. We are new to this and still trying to figure out which of our chickens are going to be roosters! 10 of them are 2 months old and 4 are 1 month. We have 2 Buff Orps, 2 Sexlinx, 1 Barred Rock and the rest are Araucanas. So glad to find a site like this. I can't begin to describe the love I have for chickens, my friends think im crazy! I actually grew up with chickens in our backyard, but only had to gather eggs, clean coops and pluck feathers, which was torture back then. I call back home to ask questions and my mom and grandma say they are just chickens Amy, quit worrying about every little thing....grrrrrr! So I am looking to you all for help on certian subjects. So glad to find a place filled with other crazy chicken lovers!
 
Hi and welcome to BYC! Have you seen the learning center yet? It's full of articles that project managers and other members write about and there are a lot of threads that you can look at for specific things. Do you have any specific questions right now?
 
Yes, actually I do. What is the easiest way for me to tell if I have a Cockrell? They are only 2 months old. Thanks for the tip on the learning center, I will be sure to check that out. I am dedicating my night to looking through this site to figure out how it all works, that is forums, where to ask questions and such.
