Hello Everyone!
I am a new member, but I have frequented backyard chicken when I have had questions or concerns. I originally lived in a large city when I first got chicken's, but now live in the beautiful costal range of California, which brought about a whole new set of concerns and worries. Thankfully we have a very secure coop!
I have 2 hens Sugar a brown comet and Opal a black australorp. I recently became the proud parent of 7 chicks! Pearl and Dahlia both black australorps, Coco a black and white polish, Henrietta my speckled polish, Verna a barred rock, Dody a speckled sussex and Cleopatera an americuana.
I look forward to all that I can learn and maybe contribute to this great community!

I love raising chicks it's such a rewarding and fun experience. I'm sure you will enjoy it very much too. That's a lovely mixed flock you have there. Many of us were lurkers before signing up, I was one for 2 years before joining and so wish I had done it sooner.
Nice chickens.
