So Saturday was Day 21, and it is now Day 24..... I came home from work at about 6pm last night and my DH said Rosy was on the wrong nest?
I ran out to the coop and sure enough the silly bird was sitting on the wrong nest.
ONLY ONE egg in the other box and it was cool.
Pete said that he only noticed about an hour ago...(why he didn't fix the issue, I have no idea!!)
I pulled Rosy out of the wrong nest box and put her in the coop.
While she was out I candled the egg and it looked fully developed and ready to pip.
Well Rosy sure is a serious broody, cause she stomped her way back to the correct box and proceeded place herself back on the one little egg. She even bit me as I put water in for her. (like it was my fault!)
Does anyone know if there is hope?
Should I wait till the end of the week before tossing the egg?
Thanks
Tricia
