HELP! 2 yr. old Buff Cochin with swollen abdomen

I hadn't noticed anything wrong with Tulip until this afternoon. She comes flying out of the coop every morning like everyone else. This afternoon, while feeding lunch, I noticed her standing in the corner of the yard, tail hanging and a large abdomen. She appears to be happy and talkative. When I palpate the area, it is the size of a softball, feels fluid filled and does not seem to cause her pain. I do not feel an egg. I gave her yogurt and isolated her.
Any suggestions?
She's one of my sweetest girls....

My first inclination leans towards eggbound - the egg may have broken inside her, so you wouldn't feel it. Have you researched the "symptoms" section on the sticky at the beginning of this section?
