So I was tying up a hanging feeder with some yarn I had and one of my girls jumped up and snatched it out of my hand. I tried to grab it as she was being chased by the others and she gobbled it up before I could catch her. The yarn was about 3 inches long or so. Should I be worried and is there anything I can do to help it pass? I feel terrible :(

Last year there was a chicken that ate some paracord, I forget how much, but a lot more than 3". And it turned out fine months later, does anyone remember that?
Oh wow! I'm hoping the yarn will eventually break down and pass. I've been giving grit so hopefully having that already in there will help. Paracord is another story, surprised that the bird didn't die from that!

3 inches of yarn should be fine.
If this makes you feel better, my skittish goat Liam ran away with a plastic mineral scoop and attempted to swallow it. I tried to pull it out until he ran away. When I ran over to him, he dropped it. It was covered in goat saliva! Yuck!:sick
