My silkies found their way to the duck pond this morning. One had drowned by the time we found them, the other is soaked, shivering, not walking right, kinda acts like shes drunk.. I put her back in a brooder with a light to warm her up, is there anything else I can do to help her?

Dry her with a blow dryer on LOW settings, all my chicks love this. Give her electrolytes for shock, what out for respiratory issues, she may have ingested water into her lungs. Keep her quiet and calm, give her favorite foods to encourage eating and drinking. I would keep her in the house for a couple of days, keep an eye on her.

thanks! i went to the grocery store to get her some stuff to make her electrolytes & when i came back she had jumped out of the brooder and it took us an hour to find her (she found her way into a garbage can and was just sitting in there). My fiance made me take her outside, because if my dog had beat us to finding her, she would be dinner. So, shes back outside, but shes doing better now, or else she couldnt have jumped out of the brooder. its a 55 gallon aquarium up on a table in our guest room. Ill just have to keep her in the coop, unless I can keep a close eye on her.
