HELP! About hatching!

Had a egg pipe when I went back to check under hen to see if had fully hatched i seen a broken egg and horrible smell a egg had exploited then i Looked for the piped egg it had died its beak was out and not breathing is my other eggs going to be ok they are silkie eggs

this is my first hen on eggs

It's hard to know if they'll be OK or not. At this point, I'd just wait it out and see what happens.

Wounder why its taking so many days apart for eggs to hatch ????? The first one piped and died on Sunday then yesterday one hatch alive

Hatching can span over 4-5 days from what I've read.

Well a update I got one chick from her the rest had died in shell hated it it was my first ones but I got one atleast named lucky I have 4 more girls sitting on eggs so hope for a better result the first should hatch in a week in a half so my fingers are crossed!

Got a question just hatched out 18 chicks from my silkie they are in my brooder and 3 have gunky eyes ???? Does any one know what this could be and how I should treat them thanks !
