HELP! Amoxicillin Dosage

I have 500mg capsules. Needing to know how much I need to extract per lb for a hen.
She is 2.2lbs, and very sick.

Do you mix it with water? How do you administer?

It looks to be 125mg twice a day.

The easiest way is if you have some coconut oil, the solid kind.
Melt 1/2 tsp and empty the capsule into it and mix it up really well.
I take a small piece of aluminum foil and make a little oblong trench and put the oil and antibiotic mixture into it and let it harden. Make sure it's evenly spread out. Then 1/2 half of that would be 250mg, or 1/4 is 125mg.

Plus it's easy to give to the chicken. I put it in their beak and it starts to melt and they just swallow it.
