Hi, all.
I have had so many health issues with my flock lately and I'm very disappointed, but at the moment I have a hen going down hard. I found a lash egg the other day so I purchased antibiotics but I lingered because she was holding steady and in yesterday's heat she went down hard. But now there are bloody droppings, and I'm wondering if she needs Corid as well?? Bacterial infection and coccidiosis at the same time? Is it worth it to treat her with two meds?
I had stool testing done and I'm treating my babies for coccidiosis and one of my hens was perfectly free of oocysts and another one had a heavy load with few symptoms, so it seems possible this hen could have coccidiosis too, but if bloody stools happen with bacterial infections as well then I don't want to overload her system if that's not the problem! Thank you for any input.
