Help! araucana volneteering to be dog food!

My wife's favorite chicken has decided it likes to perch on our neighbor's 5 foot high chain link fence. Yesterday I walked out back and the araucana was on the other side of the fence looking for a way back into our yard.

This normally wouldn't be a crisis except our neighbor has 5+ Great Danes that normally roam the back yard but yesterday the gods were shining on the Araucana. I don't think it will be as lucky the next time.

So, would clipping the flight feathers keep it from hoping up there? I can't see any other way its getting up that high. Nothing for it to stair-step its way up.
