One of my chcikens has a small amount of poop in blood. I was already watching this chicken beacuse she has stopped laying - but I am almost sure that she is beginning a soft summer molt which she has done before. Any ideas? acting normal otherwise.

Have you wormed your flock recently? Worms can cause some blood in droppings. Is she eating and drinking well? I would use Valbazen 1/2 ml given orally once and repeat in 10 days. SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or horse paste 1/4 ml per pound (1.25 ml for a 5 pound hen) given orally for 5 consecutive days, can also be used.

no we have not. I don’t see anthing out of the ordinary in the others. She is eating and drinking normally and looks healthy - active clear eyes and a red comb.
