Our 17 week old black silkie hen is showing signs of both botulism and mareks...I read and read and they seem to have similar symtoms..
Her poo is sometimes perfect firm blobs with white then the next few will be runny and brown...she is walking on her knees, woobles, wings sometimes hang to the sides and now her head is hanging but she can pic it up when she hears noise. It was hot here yesterday so we brought her into the basement and gave her food and water...she ate good! She seems to not be getting any better and maybe a little worse... She is still in the basement...the coop out side is 4x6 with house above and run underneath with a sand and gravel base that I clean out every other day...water is in a galvanized waterer. we have 3 other silkies that seem fine.
