Help, I have a broody situation! One hen decided she was going to hatch eggs that the whole flock had laid, so I let her. A little more than half way through, another hen decided she was going to help, and they've had no problems sitting on the eggs together. Well, a chick (possibly 2) hatched a couple of days ago, and after watching the coop video, it turns out that the helper hen decided to kill the baby (if there were 2 that hatched, she must have killed the other one, too). The 2 of them then continued to sit on the eggs. Now, another hen (the Alpha of the flock) is sitting on the eggs. I think I should get the eggs into my smaller coop where the murderess cannot get to them, but which hen do I put on them to finish hatching any eggs that are viable??
