So about a week ago I bought a flock of yellow buff Orpingtons, two pullets and one cockerel, then a 1.5 year old hen. The hen was born at the same place as the pullets and roo but were not raised together. So I’ve noticed that the hen will keep pecking at the younger ones from time to time. And she roosts on the nesting box and poo’s all in them and I didn’t like that. So I put her on the roost with the younger ones and instantly she starts to peck them! What should I do? Should I isolate the older one for a few days I can bring her to my house? Help

Chickens need to establish a pecking order so they will do this for a while once they are put together...if she is pecking them to the extent that she will not let them eat/drink or she is making them bleed or pulling a noticeable amount of feathers out then I would say move her...but if she is just pecking them sometimes I would leave them together bc if you separate them...u will have to start the pecking order routine all over once they are put together again.
