Help! Can I clip wings?

Please trust us telling you not to do that as they are suffering nutritionally. You could wind up seeing health/development issues in them later in life.

Just providing them what is best for them now will produce healthier chickens. They need only their starter/grower until they are around 4 months or laying eggs.
TSC said to start introducing the layer feed at 8-10 weeks as the golden comet could start laying as early as 3 months.
🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll go back to straight chick feed

Awecome!!

That could be true with golden comets, which I'm unfamiliar with. My silkies are 8 months. :pop

The average we hear most about is keep them on it for around 4 months or until they lay eggs. If you overlapped by a week or two it's fine, just have oyster shell out for them in a separate dish. Those who need it, eat it.

Wow. I didn’t know silkies took so long to lay. ❤️ I see all the different breeds and I want one of each
