HELP can silkies get pneumonia?

My year old silkie rooster sounds like he has a cold. His nose looks clear no discharge he breathes with his beak open sounds like its coming from his lungs he sneezes or it may be a cough not sure.what can i do for the little guy?

If he is with others you need to separate so that you can give him the attention he needs and prevent the spread of a possible infection.

Do you have a setup where he can be placed in a warm place- dog crate, heat lamp, hospital coop, large brooder ...?

It sounds as though he is suffering a respiratory ailment- the most common is infectious bronchitis, can you tell us more?

Meanwhile he needs to get warm and to be offered electrolytes or vitamins in his drinking water.

What is his diet?
Is he vaccinated?
Routine?
Who are his companions?
Also, you need to gently examine his throat and crop.

Is anyone else showing signs?
