Hello! This is Looloo, our 4 month old baby. We already have a rooster in our small flock (4) and Looloo just started making a strange crow noise that's not as loud as the rooster call. I can't tell if she has saddle feathers, but I think they are pointier then hen feathers usually are? Does anyone know for sure if she is actually a rooster? If she is a rooster, then we would have a 50:50 ratio, which I hear is not ideal :(
If anyone knows her breed as well, I am very curious! The seller said she is a brown leghorn but she looks nothing like the photos I have seen.

Thanks!

Looks like a Speckled Sussex cockerel to me.

Wow that was really fast, thank you for the feedback! Do you think it's best to give one up or is it possible to have 2 roos and 2 hens? Neither of the roos seem very aggressive.

Well there is the problem of overbreeding and when their hormones kick in they could start fighting since there are only 2 hens. You should try to get at least 10 more hens. You could try to have two different pens with just a pair. And I agree, speckled Sussex cockerel.

Yes, absolutely no way you can have two roos with two hens, or even one roo with two hens. You have to give one up, and find more hens if you want to keep one. At least 4 more. And even if you give both away you still need at least one more hen.
