Artemis is also matriarch of my first group and she chases pesephone off.

Is your CCL Cross or any chicken being injured? What do you mean "chases off"? Does the Cross fight back or just run? When she runs does the other stop attacking? Where does she sleep? How old are these chickens, mainly the ones that don't get along? Maturity levels have a lot to do with how they interact.

I can't remember how big your coops and runs are or how many total chickens you have. As long as no one is being injured and they can sleep somewhere predator safe I don't worry about this behavior, they should work it out. The maturity question may determine if that is fairly quickly or if the Cross has to mature some more. But if room is tight it could get bad.
