HELP! Chick bleeding after assited hatch!

Hi all,

I have a chick in an egg who wouldn't make progress in a few hours time, and so we had no choice but to assist it. However, when doing so, we got blood, so we put it back. The chick is still alive and cheeping, and I don't know what to do next. Please Help!

It wasn't ready yet, most likely needs to go for 24 hours.

Do you have pictures?
Are you sure it was starting to zip, or making it's pip hole bigger?

Is it still bleeding? If it isn't, just leave it be, keep the humidity high, and moisten the membrane occasionally with either mineral oil, coconut oil, or Neosporin. It needs to rest.

Yeah, that's quite a bit of blood. So I don't think it was ready yet.
