Help!!! Chick hatched but momma pushed it out

So my buff orphington went broody 21 days ago and she crushed one of the eggs and killed the chick. Last night one of the chicks started to hatch and I left it alone. But when I went up there this morning, the chick was out of the box and was laying in between the pallets that we have for the walls. There was no way she could have pushed the chick out! The chick would’ve landed on the food tote not beside the boxes. Unfortunately, I was too late discovering the chick and I don’t know what to do with the other 6 eggs she is sitting on. The membrane was still there but no egg shell. Please help!!

My 4 buffs are notorious for crushing their eggs as they are hatching. I quit letting then sit. As soon as they try to go broody I take away their eggs. Do you happen to have an incubator you could put them in? If not, perhaps someone has another method you could use. Maybe a simple styrofoam cooler, heat lamp, and wet sponges couldn't create a temporary incubator. But I definitely wouldn't let them sit again.

I unfortunately do not have an incubator but before we got her, she was successful in hatching one chick. I wonder what made her kill these

Sometimes it's the stress of being in with the flock. If others have access to the nest they kill the Chicks once they hear Peeps. I've had Orpington Broody Hens that are excellent mothers but I Brood separated.

This was my first time hatching and I had no idea what to do. By the time we figured out, she was already too close to hatching and there was nothing we could do sadly

Awww..Well next time once she commits to being Broody get something set up and move her...

Any chance you have rodents in the coop?
I'd watch closely and maybe get the brooder ready.

Awww..Well next time once she commits to being Broody get something set up and move her...
