HELP! CHICK NEEDS HELP HATCHING

Chick has zipped on half the egg since about 10:00 am
and hasn't done anything else.
it is trying but just can't complete process.
Membrane appears dried out.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??

If you have a drinking straw or something you can put water through, a few drops of warm water at the edge of the pip in the shell will soak into the membrane and maybe help the baby get out.

I saw the thread right after posting this one.

I finished zipping around and got the membrane moistened enough, wrapped it in a warm moist rag and put back in the bator and it finally kicked its way out.
He is fine now.
