I have a 4-5 week old lavender cochin and I went out to check on it after I got off work and it appeared to be having muscle spasms and it felt hot to touch. I put RX its a natural medicine around its eyes and beak....it seemed to help alittle. I don't want this little guy to die...so if you have any suggestions please pass them along, Thank you so much!! Oh, more thing one of its eyes looks kinda funny, like watery I guess!

How old is the chick? Was it vaccinated against Marek's? You'll usually lose about 5-10% of your chicks, so don't get too overwrought, especially if it's a little one. Give it a strong sugar water with a syringe, and follow with a bit of water. That's about all you can do for it if it is a fluffy chick.

Sorry, now I see your chick is a month old. Marek's usually presents at a later date, and can occur in vaccinated chicks. There is a disease that affects silkies, and maybe cochins(?) that my vet mentioned that can cause muscle paralysis/spasms. I don't know anything else about it... Sorry.
