Help, Chicken has bald uderside - pics posted

I've heard that some birds pluck their own feathers out to make a soft, warm spot to set on their eggs. If that's the case, then she is probably going broody.

I have one like that, and fortunately she eats well and is not in trouble, but watch for your hen going light. Also, when holding a chicken, avoid holding them upside down as the lungs can be compressed and they may stop breathing!
