Long story short, brother in laws dog got one of my girls. She has a couple of puncture wounds. what should I watch for? Should I clean the wound?Recommendations on how and what to use to clean them? First wounded chicken and I feel so darn bad for her!

Yes, definitely clean the wound and put Betadine or spray with Vetericyn asap. Make sure she drinks water, watch her closely and keep her warm..not hot...but warm. If you have other chickens you might put her in a dog crate so the others don't peck at her. Remember she is stressed right now and doesn't need more commotion...best of luck!!

She seems to be doing okay. I'm not sure if she is drinking much water though. She was walking around a bit. I do have a question. Should I keep her confined today or let her be with the other girls?

I would keep her confined at least for today. Try putting some sugar in her waterer...it might perk her up. Can she "see" the rest of the flock so she's not totally isolated?

Okay I will do that. No she can't see the otherz. They are free range and like now they are hanging out in the oak brush and I have her in the garage away from predators. I thought about putting her in a dog crate outside by the coop ( only during the day). I thought that way she could see the others and obviously in shade with water. I don't know, other ideas?

Update.
I do have my hurt chicken outside. I did use the dog crate, it's working great. The others did come visit her. I just peeked on her and saw her drink water!!
