Help! Chipped duck bill

I have a two year old female mallard who chipped her bill today. I believe my dog was the one to cause it because i caught them barking and quacking at each other through the wire fence. I was able to stop the bleeding and it isn't very serious but I am worried about her getting an infection. I applied Neosporin to her wound but is there anything else I should do to prevent infection?

In chickens at least, beak injuries do happen, and when minor, just grow out without help. I'd imagine duckies like to get into mud, but if it is minor, I'd not worry about it. I can't say I've heard of a beak infection even through injury.
