HELP CROW ATTACK!!

How big are your chickens?
Are there chicks at your place?
Is it a Crow or a Raven?
I have lots of both here and never had them bother my gang. Though I bet they would take a chick if they had the opportunity (after having seen them take a baby rabbit).
Maybe keep your chooks in a covered run if aerial predators are going to be a problem šŸ™

They are almost full sized and I can't tell what it is exactly

Crow, Raven, doesn't matter the fact is that there is a predator there.

Well if your chooks are still youngsters I would keep them in a covered run until they are full grown and have some skills with wandering out on their own.

If you don't have any full grown adult birds to show them the ropes with predators then they will rely upon you to 1) protect them, 2) alert them to any dangers. There are worse predators than Crows and Ravens out there.

When I see anything threatening I used to yell 'Run for the Hills' and my kiddos (mostly) run for the barn. There is always one who ignores me - I tell that one 'this is what happens to Wildebeest on the Serengeti - they get eaten by Lions'. Now I have an established flock who are pretty good at keeping an eye out.

Good luck - keep us updated.

I've been thinking about doing that
My dad tried that many many years age with Grackles here. All he did was manage to wound the poor suckers which I then had to deal with. Remember Predators are not going after your chooks for fun - they have babies to feed also.

You need to have adequate proper housing to protect your livestock from predation, that is your responsibility as the owner.

I was going to say the same thing. The crows and ravens around my home hang out with my chickens. They even run off hawks quite often. But I do feed them. I hate to think if they ever turned on them.😲 I'd be worried too.
Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but could it be it is another reason? Maybe it's after an egg? Or maybe it's a mama with babies nearby?
Whatever the reason I hope your chickens stay safe. šŸ™
