Hi everyone — any help at all you can provide about our hen’s eye infection we observed yesterday would be really welcome. There aren’t any avian vets near us and we don’t have experience with this kind of infection. She seems to be walking around and eating fine and her other eye looks normal.

Many times a bubbly, swollen eye can be a sign of MG, a chronic respiratory sinus infection. But it could also happen from a peck or injury. To treat MG, antibiotic powder added to the water may help treat symptoms. You can get that from Jedds.com, and dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days.
