Last night around dusk, I was in process of fixing baby monitor and getting ready to feed and put my duck in. Just then, all happened so quick, my duck was caught by a bob cat. I immidiately ran outside and hysterically screamed out to bob cat" let her go!!! Let her go! while I clapped my hands as loud as possible! Well the bobcat ran off and released my girl. I hurried to the front yard and scooped her up. The bobcat leaped with her 40 feet off the deck balcony where they both landed on the grass. I didn't see a lot blood.
She could stand but is limping. She wouldn't eat but just a little tiny bit. Later, I went in and held my hand up to her with her food and water. She did better with eating in this mode. She can hold her head up, but seems not to be able to eat with her head down like she usually does. We do not have an avian vet her in Colorado Springs, co. I do have a vet who owns pet ducks himself, and he sees her.
I'm soooo worried sick about her. Her eyes are open as of last night. I put her in her garage crate and covered her crate.
I'm worried about her not drinking or eating well..
Help please..this is terrible
