I have a mallard duckling that has mostly hatched but it’s stomach is still attached to the egg. It’s not the umbilical cord, it looks like a large part of his intestines or some part of the stomach is not completely developed! He hatched right on time but why would he not be completely formed? He is still alive and just laying partly in his egg sleeping. What do it do? I have hatched a lot of chickens and ducks but never seen this before

Can you post pics? Sometimes, they do hatch before their yolk is completely absorbed; obviously, it's not ideal, but they can survive. If it is the yolk, it needs time to resorb it, quietly, but I can only guess what may be occurring from your description.

@Pyxis provided advice in this thread, which you may find useful. You can find more threads here. Best of luck!

Here are a couple pics. I’m doing my best to keep him comfortable and keep the area moist. He is going to stay in the incubator for now. I’m just hoping it’s something that will resolve in a couple days

Aww, he's a cutie! Keeping him in the incubator is good - a cup (see post #3 by @sumi) would probably keep him from moving around too much and possibly rupturing the yolk sac.

Rooting for your little one! :fl
