Hi, hope I can get some insight, yesterday afternoon I noticed one of my hens was just standing in the yard, All puffed up, not eating not walking around, she looked like a penguin standing there. I put her in the coop and the same thing. Talking with someone more knowledgeable than me said possibly egg bound. Took her in the house, gave her a warm bath, put coconut oil on/in her vent best I could. Made scrambled eggs with crushed calcium. And probiotic water... she is a little more active today but not really. After the bath (6pm) she had a yellow/clear Super runny poop with tiny turds in it. I’ve seen this before, I wasn’t real concerned. Then around 10 pm she had a huge what I call a good poo, fluffy with white on one end. And another poop like that at 8am this morning. I didn’t feel an egg but I didn’t force putting the coconut oil “in” her vent. Didn’t want to hurt her. Not sure what to do next. Still no egg. I have her now, alone in a fenced part of my yard. Food, shelter, probiotic water. Going to attach pics of poo. Not sure the will be in the right order. Watery poo was first.

Can you feel inside her vent 1-2" for an egg?
Has she ever had trouble laying an egg?

How long have you had her?
Bought her as a baby at TSC. She just started laying. I have not noticed her having trouble before. So if I feel inside her vent 1-2” and don’t feel any egg would that mean there is no egg? And if I do feel an egg I’m probably gonna blow up this message board lol. I can do this just a bit nervous for her.

Her being hunched up like that I would suspect she's having trouble with an egg - you may not be able to feel it, but just in case.
IF she's not lethargic, then I would give her an epsom salts soak again. Make sure she's drinking and give her the Calcium (if she's not had that today). If your weather is cool, dry her well if you are putting her back out.

If she's lethargic, then place her in a steamed up bathroom or cage her with a heating pad on low.

Hydration is important, so encourage her to drink.

I'm sorry she's having troubles, it's no fun when they are like this.

Thank you soo much for the advice. She seems a little more active, and she is now squawking like she is trying to lay. I got coconut in her vent but didn’t get even an inch to try to feel for an egg, she started fighting me I just got the coconut oil in there then set her down.

Also Her vent is pulsing, and is slightly open And a Very little yellowish thick fluid is Coming out.

I was trying to hold off on the bath just bc it’s cool outside and I’m worried to put her back out wet. Will she try not to lay If I put her inside the house in a dog crate?

OK, it's o.k. Give her time and let her relax and expel the fluid. Try to get a photo of what she expels.
