Help!! Egg pipped

My son went out to the coop and took one of the eggs that had a pip hole (about the size of a small pencil eraser) and peeled back a bit more shell (so now the pip hole is 2x bigger). Will the chick be okay? I am worried now...

One of my eggs pipped 3 weeks ago and other chickens pecked it halfway open before I found out. The chick eventually needed help, but came out fine. Talk about a worried first time hatcher!! Do you hear it peeping? It was amazing... Good luck!

Yes it is still peeping. It has been about 7 hours now. I guess I will just have to see in the morning.
